ClimAcceleration
The Climate-KIC ClimAccelerator was founded in 2010, with the aim of supporting early-stage clean-tech startups through the first steps and critical phases of their business.
Over the last nine years, the EIT Climate-KIC Accelerator Programme has supported early-stage climate positive ventures in 32 locations across Europe along with 33 Climate-KIC partners. The Programme has supported over 2000 start-ups going through the technological and commercial valley of death helping them to mature into scalable businesses.
Atlas is proud to be part of Climate-KIC as an Open Accelerator leading the Turkish Chapter of the ClimAccelerator, this partnership will give more strength to our acceleration programs and help our startups to implement the best practices needed to have success when developing a Climate Positive Project.
Agri-tech
Fostering advancements in agricultural technology to optimize farming practices, enhance crop yields, promote sustainable farming methods, and address challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and food security. This encompasses innovations like smart irrigation systems for water conservation, climate-smart farming techniques to adapt to changing weather patterns, carbon sequestration methods to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural activities, etc.

Accelerating innovations that revolutionize the way we produce, distribute, and consume food through technological advancements, improving efficiency, sustainability, and accessibility across the entire food value chain. This includes solutions addressing climate-resilient crop varieties, precision agriculture techniques to mitigate climate-related risks, sustainable food packaging to reduce environmental impact, etc.
Circularity
Driving initiatives focused on creating a circular economy within various industries, minimizing waste, maximizing resource efficiency, and promoting the reuse, recycling, and repurposing of materials to achieve sustainable production and consumption patterns. This involves strategies such as designing products for durability and recyclability, implementing closed-loop manufacturing processes to minimize waste generation, adopting renewable energy sources to reduce carbon footprint throughout the product lifecycle, etc.

EIT Climate-KICs 3 Stages of Acceleration
Overview of the 3-Phase Program
Business Development
The first stage of the ClimAccelerator is intended to help early-stage startups refine and develop their specific USP and business model. Here the first prototype is finalised and assistance is provided to obtain industry feedback. This stage critically provides access to more mature startups in later stages of the Accelerator as well as to expert coaching, 1-2-1 mentoring and workshops and the Climate-KIC European contacts network and events.
Customer Traction
The second stage of the ClimAccelerator helps move startups with a well-formulated business model to the next phase: validation and customer acquisition.
Team focus on acquiring their first clients and an iterative process of business model validation whilst receiving continuing support from experts and mentors and participating to activities and workshops.
These more mature startups will be able to display their ventures in several internal and external events, growing their individual network.
Investment Readiness
The third and final stage of the ClimAccelerator prepares businesses for future investment rounds and scaling. Teams get continued access to all spaces, events and coaching sessions.
Startups in this stage of the programme are supported in preparation for negotiations with potential investors and partners and can tap into a huge network of investor contacts and partners.

Eligibility Criteria
Agri ClimAccelerator Türkiye is for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators from diverse backgrounds in the fields of agriculture, agribusiness, food science, agri and food engineering, agri and food technologies , water use and treatment, and circularity, with answers and solutions to the current environmental and societal-related wicked problems
Business Stage
SMEs and start-ups with advanced business models, MVP / prototype, and at least TRL 5 will have preference
Team
Dedicated teams with at least 2 members will be prioritised
Fit with Thematic Focus
Prefeible, your business solution fix one or more of a our four topics, close to a commercial and technological scale up stage
Market Scalability
The startups must be located in Turkey and their product must have international market targets.
Registration Status
SME’s or startups that are already registered will be prioritised. You must at least be in the process of registration at the time of application.
Business Activity
We will consider SME’s and startups incorporated with less than 5 years.

What is the language of the program?English. But mentorings and some of trainings will be Turkish.

Do I have to register a company?Yes. Only registered companies are eligible to apply.

How many startups will be participating?As we have a personalized acceleration program, maximum ten startups will attend per cohort.

Is there a number of team members that can participate?To be part of Agri ClimAccelerator Türkiye, we prefer startups with at least two team members. We recomend assist all masterclass and mentors session acording to their role.
